These rests are by no means a replacement for a prone sandbag supported firing position. A reconfiguration of the original Tactical Sharpshooters Rifle Rest components has astounded users with its simplicity, accuracy, and the ability to track targets that are elevated, depressed, or a moving combination of both, 360 degrees using the Manfrotto 3192 video tripod with a claw ball head.

The Tactical Sharpshooters Rifle Rest Details:

• Base plate Dimensions: 10.5 inches (length) 10 inches (width)
• Detachable armrests extend the platform to twenty four inches in length, allowing the shooter to take up a modified prone shooting position regardless of their actual physical position (Standing, Sitting, Kneeling).
• The armrests are reversible allowing them to be placed on either side of the base plate to accommodate left or right handed shooters. 
• This rest is completely adjustable and attaches to most commercially made tripods.
• This rest accommodates many different shooting positions and will accept a variety of long guns 

All models of the Sharpshooters rifle rest will attach to your quality camera or video tripod. This rest allows you to set your weapon at its most desirable elevation. You must ensure that your tripod is rated to withstand the weight of the Sharpshooters rifle rest and your weapon. The Sharpshooters rifle rest is designed for versatility to accommodate different weapons and its users personal marksmanship preference.  We recommend tripod 3192 with this rest as it has a load capacity of 44 lbs.

The clamping device located on the front rest of the Tactical Sharpshooters Rifle Rest is used to lock your firearm onto a primary target area. This feature gives the shooter the ability to remove their hands from the weapon and conduct other tasks. The plungers, or actual clamping devices, are adjustable by screwing them into, or out of, the rear rest. This item was specifically designed for the comfort of the tactical rifleman who spend long periods of time waiting for a target to appear.

All the basic fundamentals of marksmanship apply to the rifleman who chooses to use the Sharpshooters rifle rest. Fine elevation adjustments are made by raising or lowering the rear of the weapon. Wind-age adjustments are accomplished by rotating the weapon in the desired direction on the front gun rest. 

Above left is an example of the capability a trained shooter has using this rest. In this instance the shooter was firing a non-stress three round group at 100 yards from the standing position using the Tactical Sharpshooters Rifle Rest and Video Tripod 3192. The shooters point of aim was the "X" on the nose.

If you work in the urban environment get your boss to budget for this item. It beats moving furniture or making an unreliable shooting platform out of milk crates, chairs, or ironing boards. Flat rooftop hides and shooting over retaining walls will no longer be an obstacle. It will give you (the sniper) confidence as you will be able to train with this equipment and know what your capabilities and limitations are with its use.
