Shooting Leagues

CMI SHOOTING LEAGUES

FALL leagues forming now!!!

Why join a league? Because its fun and its one of the best ways to improve your firearms related skills.

All CMI leagues are 1 hour in length (6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.) and are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. There are 10 events that are held every other week.

Each league has a maximum of 10 shooters. 1st 10 signed up!!!

We offer three different league levels.

  1. Novice/Scout League (Tuesdays): This is purely an instructional league that focuses on the basics. This developmental league is not competitive, even though members will be shooting for scores, they are only shooting against themselves.
  2. Intermediate/Officer (Wednesdays): This league is competitive pitting league members against each other in static evolutions of fire.
  3. Advanced/Ranger (Thursdays): This league is competitive pitting league members against each other in dynamic evolutions of fire.

COST: $13 per Event – Includes Range Time & targets. Total cost = $130 per shooter. No Refunds.

 

NOVICE/SCOUT LEAGUE

Philosophy:

  • Pistol Based – Can be any Cal including .22 – No Optics
  • Slower Paced
  • 1 hour in Length
  • Handicapped
  • Scoring Only
  • 15 Minutes of Discussion before each Event
  • Bench Start – Magazine Inserted
  • All at 7 Yards except week 9.
  • Each Event is 100 Rounds

Weekly Course of Fire:

  • Week 1: Standard Bullseye Target – 100 Max
  • Week 2: D1 Target – 100 Max
  • Week 3: Bad Guy Target – 70 Max
  • Week 4:Double Target – 50 Max
  • Week 5: Plinker – No Handicap
  • Week 6: Balloons – 50 Max
  • Week 7: Zombingo – Each Target 5 – Each Bingo 10 – 80 Max
  • Week 8: Shopping Spree – 5@10, 5@5, 5@1 – 75 Max
  • Week 9: Advancing Target – D1 Target – 50 Max
  • Week 10: Plinker/Banquet - Fun Night

 

INTERMEDIATE/OFFICER LEAGUE

Philosophy:

  • Center Fire Only – No Optics
  • 1 hour in Length
  •  Competition Based – Win/Loss
  • Timed and Scored
  • Bench Start – Magazine Inserted
  • Dual Mags – Need Mag Holder
  • Each Challenge is 10 Rounds
  • Two nights with 4 Person Championship

Weekly Course of Fire:

  • Week 1: Standard Target – 1.5 Minutes – 10 Rounds - @7 Yds and 10 Yds. – 200 Max
  • Week 2: Bad Guy – 1 Minute - 10 Rounds - @7 Yds and 10 Yds – 140 Max
  • Week 3: Hostage – Plus/Minus – 1 Minute – 10 Rounds - @7 yds – 50 Max
  • Week 4: 5 Spot –30 Seconds – 10 Rounds – 50 Max
  • Week 5: Plinker Scoring – 10 Rounds / Simulator – No Handicap
  • Week 6: War Games – 1 Minute 10 Rounds – 5@10, 5@5, 5@1 – 75 Max
  • Week 7: Advancing Target – 10 Rounds – 50 Max
  • Week 8: Poker Night – Best Hand – 7 card shoot – 35 Max
  • Week 9: Long Shoot – 1 time- 50 Max  - Championship – Advancing Target and Long Shoot  - 100 Max
  • Week 10: Plinker/Banquet – Fun Night

 

ADVANCED/RANGER LEAGUE

Philosophy:

  • Sub Compact Only – No Optics
  • Competition Based  but Individual Performance
  • 1 hour in Length
  • Timed, Scored, Safety Based Evaluation (end of event)
  • Holster Draw-  First Magazine Inserted
  • Dual Mags – Need Mag Holder
  • Decision based Target Acquisition
  • No Included Practice – No Handicap

Weekly Course of Fire:

  • Week 1: 15 Yards – 5 rounds – 2 Mags (10 Rounds) - 30 seconds.
  • Week 2: Dual Targets – 7 Yards and 10 Yards – 3 Rounds – 2 Mags  (6 Rounds)  – 10 seconds.
  • Week 3: Advancing/Retreating Target – 5 Rounds in – 5 Rounds out – 2 Mags (10 Rounds Total).
  • Week 4: Dual Targets - 7 Yards and 10 Yards – Double Tap Alternating – 5 Rounds – 2 Mags (10 Rounds) – 20 seconds.
  • Week 5: Plinker – 10 Rounds – Call Your Shots by Providing Roadmap – No consecutive shots on the same target – No Holster Draw – 20 Seconds.
  • Week 6: Advancing Dual Targets – 4 Rounds – 2 Mags (8 Rounds)
  • Week 7: Dual Targets - 7 Yards and 10 Yards – Double Tap Alternating – 5 Rounds – 2 Mags (10 Rounds) – 20 seconds. Strong Side Only. All two hand shots are a 3 point deduction.
  • Week 8: Advancing/Retreating Target – 5 Rounds in – 5 Rounds out – 2 Mags (10 Rounds Total). Strong Side Only. All two hand shots are a 3 point deduction.
  • Week 9: Walking Shooter – 5 Targets – 5 Rounds – Your Time/10 calculated into score. Time ends when you hit button.
